Hello, I’m back in the UK now. Sorry I didn’t fill you in, but I was having too much fun to write anything.

And if you don’t believe I went all the way to Australia, here’s a picture of the back of my head in Hall’s Gap. There are proper pictures of my holiday, but they’re on someone else’s computer at the moment. (there are more pictures of my sisters looking lovely in a wedding set here).

The only black spot on the whole trip was the shock last Monday morning of finding out Grant McLennan of the Go-Betweens had died suddenly. His music meant a lot to me, and I think I’ll wait until the jetlag has worn off before I add anything to that.

I came back to work to find that my two new LCD monitors had arrived, which was lovely, and that the AGP video card I’d ordered for the second monitor needed to be a PCI one, because their contacts are in different places. You’re all saying that should be obvious from the acronyms – how could I make such a beginner’s error? I don’t think three weeks away from computers is long enough.
